Carlton Farmers' Market was established in October 2014, with support from the City of Melbourne. Located in the grounds of Carlton North Primary School, the market will operate with around 30 stallholders offering ethical, local food from meat, fruit and vegetables to nuts, eggs and cheese.
There is plenty on offer for a hearty breakfast or an early lunch - and plenty of space to pull up a picnic rug.
Entry to the market is by gold coin donation which supports the school's programs.
The market is plastic-bag free. The market runs on the 1st Saturday of the month, from 8 am to 1 pm.
