Fully accredited by the Victorian Farmers Market Association, the market brings a host of Victorian farmers and food producers together on the fourth Saturday morning every month.
The market is managed by Melbourne Farmers Markets (MFM), a social enterprise connecting Victorian farmers and food producers with seven urban neighbourhoods across Melbourne. MFM have been in the St Heliers Street neighbourhood since the 1990s and played a significant part in the fight to save the Convent precinct from development. MFM started Collingwood Children’s Farm Farmers Market in 2002 (2nd Saturdays) and now, with Abbotsford Convent (4th Saturdays) and Carlton North Primary School (1st and 3rd Saturdays), marketgoers can enjoy a weekly circuit of accredited farmers markets in the City of Yarra.
Please note: The nature of working with farmers means that unforeseen events do occur from time to time which may prevent producers listed from attending the market. The stallholder list is updated on Thursday, prior to a market day.
Melbourne Farmers Markets respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the Land on which Coburg FM is held, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to them, their culture and their Elders, past, present and future.
