Australia’s only Slow Food convivium-run farmers’ market started in October 2006 at the heritage-listed Abbotsford Convent. As of February 2019, the market has a new home in the West at the Spotswood-Kingsville RSL.
Our market prides itself in providing Good, Clean and Fair Food for All, with direct trade between producers and the community. We work with a network of growers and food producers invited for their quality of produce, integrity of production methods and true value for money straight back into the hands of Victorian farmers.
Well-behaved dogs (and cats) on leads are welcome. The market operates from 8am to 1pm on the 4th Saturday of the month in all weather; rain, hail or shine!
We’re plastic bag and waste free so BYO bags, panniers, baskets, trolleys and utensils! (We have a wash-up station too!)
